Faunal DB
After attending a museums Saskatchewan event titled "Ethics and Interpretations in Archaeological collections", I was connected with a masters student at the University of Saskatchewan who had inherited a database of site data describing the location, and attributes of faunal remains found at various sites. The Database was made using Microsoft Access
, something I was unfamiliar with, but being quite familiar with SQL and relational databases in general I enjoyed the challenge of breaking up their 73-field master table into a series of subtables. The Database was NOT in First Normal Form when I started, and the team was struggling with uniform data entry. I ______ (well, I'm still working on it)
